How I Bought a Car at Yorkdale Toyota Toronto

My notes on the experience of being a component of a long running transaction

Is there a light at the end of the tunnel?

In Canada, the wait for a new car
Is longer than it's ever been by far
Supply chain issues and chip shortages persist
Leaving Canadians on lengthy waitlists

Salesmen say the price could change with each passing day
As the lack of inventory affects the way they play
Waiting lists grow astronomically longer
Leaving many to wonder when they'll finally be a car owner

Three years is the worst-case scenario
For those hoping to get behind the wheel and go
But as they wait, salespeople suffer too
Many of whom rely on commissions to make a living, it's true

So while we wait for the supply to catch up
We hold on tight, our patience still intact
For the chance to finally drive away
In a brand new car, on a bright and sunny day

Buying RAV 4
